Description: Companion caregivers provide non medical, home based support to seniors or individuals with disabilities, focusing on emotional well being and companionship rather than hands on personal care. Core duties include social interaction, light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation for errands/appointments, and medication reminders.

Core Companion Caregiver Duties

• Companionship & Emotional Support: Engaging in conversation, playing games, reading, and providing a friendly, social presence to reduce isolation.
• Light Housekeeping: Dusting, vacuuming, laundry, changing linens, and washing dishes to maintain a tidy living space.
• Meal Preparation: Planning, cooking, and serving nutritious meals and snacks.
• Transportation & Errands: Driving to doctor appointments, pharmacy, or grocery shopping, as well as running errands on behalf of the client.
• Medication Reminders: Providing verbal prompts for self administration of medication (not administering medication directly).
• Safety & Supervision: Monitoring well being, observing for changes in health, and ensuring a safe environment.
• Logistics & Assistance: Managing calendars, scheduling appointments, assisting with mobility (e.g., walking, getting in/out of chairs), and helping with hobbies or activities.
